Collector's Cottage

Collector's Cottage at Collector & Co

Tucked away in a quiet hamlet in the Cotswold, Collector's Cottage offers an artful retreat for art and nature enthusiasts. Once home to an esteemed antique dealer, the cottage contains antiques, original artwork and crafts.

We curated the artworks and crafts to honour the history of the house while reflecting the story of its new owners. Each piece was thoughtfully selected to complement the interior design, the surrounding landscape, and the natural light that moves through the cottage.

The collection draws inspiration from the cottage's immediate surroundings - from galloping horses in the nearby fields to native flora and the rich vegetation of the garden - creating a meaningful dialogue between art, place, and home.

Holland Park House

Holland Park House at Collector & Co

The client invited us to curate the ground floor - an open-plan kitchen and living space with views extending into the garden. The art selection was conceived in close dialogue with the interiors and the house surrounds. We also drew inspiration from the sculptural forms and organic silhouettes of vegetables and artisanal cheeses.

A further layer of inspiration came from Holland Park, and in particular the Japanese gardens. The client's passion for collecting Middle Eastern porcelain also became an integral part of the narrative. Each artwork and object was thoughtfully considered to sit in harmony, creating a layered and deeply personal environment where art, craft, nature and the interior exist in quiet conversation.
